Which channel has your competition?
A great place to start is with the competition you follow. Sky Sports and TNT Sports share live Premier League rights, whereas other leagues and cups have their own broadcast arrangements. Depending on what you enjoy watching, you may need more than one service.
The table below brings together UK broadcast rights and the number of games in each announced seasonal package. To help you compare them, we have labelled minimums, maximums and shared broadcasts. These figures cover the season rather than the fixtures currently in our listings.

What do the numbers mean?
Sky’s original EFL agreement totals 1,059 games across league matches, play-offs and two cups. That total includes several competitions, so only part of it covers the Championship. The original cup counts reflect the formats used when the deal was announced. Format changes can alter the final seasonal total. Read Sky’s EFL breakdown.
Some games appear on more than one broadcaster, which is useful to bear in mind when comparing the totals. ITV’s league selections also appear on Sky. BBC FA Cup matches also appear on TNT. WSL coverage overlaps too. Adding every row together would therefore count some matches more than once.
European football and the FA Cup
Prime Video’s Champions League package contains 17 first-pick Tuesday games per season for the 2024/25 to 2026/27 rights cycle. TNT’s package covers 553 games across the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. That total covers all three competitions together. See the European rights breakdown.
For 2026/27, TNT Sports carries Champions League coverage alongside Prime Video’s first-pick Tuesday matches. TNT also holds live Europa League and Conference League rights. Its FA Cup coverage includes the BBC’s shared selections. Check the 2026/27 competition rights guide.
Prime Video’s Tuesday Champions League package is separate from Premier League rights. The current UK Premier League live packages belong to Sky and TNT. See the Premier League rights announcement.
Free coverage is worth checking first
You can watch selected EFL league games on ITV and selected FA Cup games on the BBC without a sports subscription. ITV can switch a league selection to League One or League Two. It also shares selected Carabao Cup coverage with Sky. Read ITV’s agreement.
Live free-to-air football still requires TV Licence coverage. Our TV Licence guide explains what you need before you watch.
Before you pay for a package
You can find your match in the fixture guide, then check whether your chosen subscription includes the named channel. Some games appear on a broadcaster’s additional channels or streams, so checking the individual listing can help you choose the right package.
